It's been a while since my last post. A lot has happened in the gaming world for me. I started creating play through videos of classic Nintendo games. I started playing Final Fantasy because it was my favorite game to play in the early 90's. I've completed the game so many times that I'm sure I don't have enough fingers and toes to count them all. Final Fantasy has been remade countless times on just about every platform. With every remake , the captured only some of the essence that was Final Fantasy. The enemies were easier , you leveled up faster , and everything in the game costs less. The graphics have been slightly enhanced to emulate a Super Nintendo feel but nothing compares to the original. That was my purpose. To show those who never had a chance to see the original game in all it's 8 bit glory.
I will finish Final Fantasy and work on something else. It's difficult to make an RPG play through just due to the amount of time you spend leveling up. I edit those level grinding moments out to save hours of downtime that nobody really wants to experience.
The next game which I started and finished has yet to be uploaded to my youtube channel. It's another favorite game of mine that is even more well known then Final Fantasy. It involves a blond haired little dude in a green suit wielding a wooden sword. ;-)
I also managed to get through a few more missions of Castle Wolfenstein. This game had an update for the multi-player but it only made the process of getting into a room better. The gameplay still lacked online.
I ordered Sanwa replacement buttons and a joystick for my Madcatz SE playstation 3 fight stick. It looks really good now and plays a lot better. My xbox 360 stick has been modified already.
I finished all the hard trials in Street Fighter 4 ! That was pretty much my last project for street fighter until further notice. I still have to record C Viper's level 3 but I'm not in a hurry to get it done. It's really difficult to do and for some reason , I just can't seem to do it again.
LETS GO GIANTS!

Street Fighter 4 Hard Trial Streak
Today was a busy day for me. I Went to a staff day meeting at my new job as a security guard. That went well. It was only 3 hours and I got paid for 8. When I finally got home and sat down to relax, I started up Street Fighter 4 and my camera to see if i could do any of the hard trials I have been working on. I managed to get all of the trials finished and recorded accept for C viper's lever 3 through 5. I only have level 5 to complete for myself. El Fuerte , I managed to get level 4 done today and im still stuck on 5. I finished ken's level 5 finally as well as Cammy's level 5 , on top of that finished level 4 and 5 of Fei Long. It felt so good to get all of those done with since I have been working on them for so long. Just a few more left and I will be completely done with that project.
A job well done today. I feel great.

Wolfenstein Mission 5: Hospital
It's been a while since I had a chance to sit down and play Wolfenstein. Just a week ago I had received my special order of a 8GB memory card and a power adaptor for my Canon Powershot A590IS. It was fairly inexpensice considering that the power cord at the local camera shop wanted $60 for it and I only paid around $50 for that plus the memory card. Shipping was high but in the end, I'm saving a lot of money by not buying batteries.
The entire mission was filmed in about an hour. I realized at this point in the game that you can actually choose your missions. There is a centralized map , sort of like a typical world map where you go back to after each mission and speak to your people. After successful missions you talk to them , upgrade your weapons with the money you made and find then you get new missions added to the journal. This concept isn't knew. It's in a lot of games now where you have more of an open world to discover. There are doors on the main map that are locked that you must obviously unlock through certain missions. Traditionally first person shooters, Call of Duty , Rainbow Six , Ghost Recon , Halo , Gears of War , and Return of Wolfenstein , you would start at point A , be it mission 1 then get to the end of the mission and go to mission 2. You didn't have a choice in the matter. Now it seems as though you do. It's refreshing. I've had to work the last two days and this weekend will be no different. I made a poor choice and volunteered to cover someones shift and didn't realize that it was this week and next week. It's my girlfriends birthday tomorrow! I messed up but hopefully I'll make it up to her little by little each day. Here's the 4 parts of mission 5.

Street Fighter 4 League Season 2 ! PSN/360!
A few months ago I decided that playing Street Fighter 4 online was leaving my dry. It had become monotonous. Search for a game , play a match, win the match and move on. Lose the match then you start over. The problem is that most the people I played online did not play the game at a serious level. They jumped around and spammed whatever moves they could in each round with no intent of being competitive. It was hard to get better at a game when I consistently played bad players. I'm talking about the ones who purposely do E Honda's Headbutt the entire match whether it is effective or not. The fun of competition just gets thrown out the window. After the new update came out allowing you to gain GRADE POINTS and achieve higher rankings to play in better tournaments, I played whenever I could to get higher in the ranks. After achieving around 4000 Grade points, I realized that in order to get 15000 , which is the next grade high from G2 to G1 , I'd have to win at least 120 finals, or 240 runner ups. Playing 3 matches to get to that point takes quite some time. Well over a 1000 matches would be needed to break g2. I don't remember a game where I played that many times with no change in game play , nothing new to look forward to. It's just repetitive matches played 1000 times. There's just not enough rewards along the way to make me keep at it.
What's the next best thing? I don't have arcades in my area. The community is one that online is your only option. So what I decided to do was make my own league. I called it Street Fighter 4 Season 1. It was meant for XBox and Playstion online. I'm a member of the Capcom community better known as Capcom-unity.com which is a forum site that hosts blogs and anything else you can think of. I decided to go ahead and announce that I was going to make a league and people should sign up. Wasn't realizing if it would take well, one by one I got gamertag responses. First season ended up with 11 people including me. I used a site called Myleague and it seemed good at the start but only proved to be too confusing in the end. After that season went through I learned a lot as well as made a lot of online friends on capcom-unity. Just last week I started a new season utilizing capcom.com's member blog. It is a huge hit. Everyone seems to be enjoying it. I have about 24 members playing games right now and it is good to know I have something else to look forward to when I start up my system and decide to spin my sf4 disc.
